Here it is...
The appartment is on the first floor. There was a flood. The cat, having nine lives, made it but the people didnt.
funny, but no
This is another shot in the dark. The people get killed and the murderer knocks a vase (pronounced Vazze) of water over. The cat is just there.

Ok this is it the "bodies" are fish and the cat wanted a snack . The cat knocked over the fish tank while trying to get at the fish.
